LISA & SHANNON’S WEDDING

Love conquers everything!
Lisa & Shannon beat the odds!

When people are in love, the Angels look down ...
but what did they see - the Families frown!
The first booked venue - closed and broke.
The second - ditto – wot a joke!
The third at the golf club was “fine”,
Except the chef chose the next week to resign.

A band was booked for the wedding day...
but the members took sick and went away.
Another was found to fill the bill...
from somewhere down near Swan Hill.

Flowers for the wedding, ordered ahead,
were collected as arranged ... but completely dead.
Fresh flowers from Melbourne ... finally in luck ...
delivered in time by the Sun-Herald truck!!

Clothes problems for the bride on her way to wed,
Halena beside her with needle and thread!

The wedding was a dream as they paced the aisle...
the Wedding Party one big Smile...
They moved up the fairway the photos to take ...
and were promptly chased by a dirty big snake.

But Lisa and Shannon you won in the end ...
and earned a long happy life to spend ...
‘cos the Angels look down on people in love
And hopefully grant Blessings from Above.

Lisa & Shannon had so many misfortunes leading up to their wedding that Mum couldn't resist immortalising their trials and tribulations. Happily they are still very happily married
